Christians: If a christian wedding was impossible, would you have a ual relationship outside of marriage?

Say for example, you lived in a muslim country and a christian wedding was impossible. Would you get married according to muslim rites, would you remain unmarried and platonic, or would you have a ual relationship outside of marriage?
