How many years does it take to become an RN and what kind of training should you take?

starting with high school graduation. I was thinking to take a CNA certification course right after graduation, they go to college the next fall and study to be a LPN then after receiving that certification work part time as I continue my schooling to become an RNA I figure this should be about three years. What are your thought?
