Greg mortenson? how can i portray him as a civil disobedience leader?

i have to to a project on civil disobedience leaders, and i don't want to do leaders like MILK or Gandhi. yes, i agree that these leaders did great things,however, i feel that someone like greg deserves more credit. is there any way someone can help me make the connection between mr.mortenson and civil disobedience? i need about three examples. please help!!^^ his book called Three Cups of Tea really touched my heart. and i feel that other people should notice this person's cause. thank you very much in advance =]
